Preparing Christmas food can sometimes present difficulties if you are vegetarian or vegan; or if you're trying to cater for vegetarian/vegan friends or family. We all tend to think 'nut roast' and then what?

Well, the answer is here in the shape of talented cook, author and food blogger, Katy Beskow (aka Little Miss Meat free) and her repertoire of wonderful, Christmas-inspired recipes.

Working in our purpose built, fully-equipped, kitchen you'll be preparing and cooking your recipes, sampling as you go.

This class will give you the confidence to create lots of new Christmas recipes to add to your own Christmas repertoire, whether you're vegetarian/vegan or not!

Examples of dishes include:

  • Pomegranate, orange and pistachio pilaf 
  • Chestnut cassoulet with rosemary orange crumb
  • Olive oil and sea salt roast potatoes with thyme and roasted garlic
  • Maple roasted baby carrots with pecans 
  • Sticky gingerbread cake with St Clement's drizzle 

All ingredients will be provided and you'll take away lots of new skills and printed recipe sheets.

We'll provide an apron for you to work in but if you'd prefer to have your very own, high-quality, embroidered YORK Cookery School apron, they are available to buy. Simply add one to your order and we can post it to you or just give it to you when you come to the class.
