Preparing For University - Day 3

Our tutor, Fiona McBeath has taught over 100 students, including her own four children, to prepare suitable recipes for Uni life on a limited budget.

The students will learn how to cook some delicious dishes and the course will boost their confidence in the kitchen, as well as develop their culinary skills. 

Fiona will teach them the importance of knife skills and kitchen hygiene, advise on storing food, batch cooking for the freezer as well as menu planning and where and how to shop efficiently.

Examples of just a few of the recipes covered on the course will be:

Thai chicken curry with smashed cucumber salad

Chilli con carne with avocado and lime salad

Omlettes

Soup

Pasta Bakes

Chorizo lemon and  mint risotto
