Introduction for Showpiece Course - Easter Theme

This introductory course to chocolate showpiece is the perfect wat to learn about various chocolate mediums, techniques and skills to develop a centrepiece to impress your friends and family. It will be based on and Easter theme.

Skills and techniques used:

  • Cocoa butter colours (airbrushed and other applications), metallic dusts
  • Casting moulds
  • Organic and freeform shapes
  • Piped decorations
  • Bases including granite and textured slabs
  • Chocolate flowers
  • Spirals and twigs
  • Pebbles

The finished showpiece will be approximately 20 to 30 centimetres high, depending on how it is assembled.
